Youth at St Bartholomew's Parish
We have an active youth group at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church. Led by Tonya and Donnie Rainey with assistance from other adult volunteers from the parish, we seek to dynamically engage the youth with life application of the Bible so that they are prepared for the challenges ahead of them. Borning? Not a chance! Fun, engaging, and exciting all with a Biblical perspective. Who wouldn't want that?
Safeguarding God's Children
St. Barholomew's Parish as part of the Diocese of South Carolina has a policy for the protection of youth and children from abuse. We also strive to make the physical environment as safe as possible for children and accessable for the differently abled.
For more information about youth events, check the "News" section of this web site or please call the parish office at 843.332.8765 or email us at stbartsec@aol.com.
St. Barts welcomes new and returning students to the Governor's School for Science & Mathematics
"We're the Church Across the Street!"
Part of our daily prayer life is to pray for the students and faculty of the Governor's School for Science and Mathematics. Students regularly worship at St. Barts and are welcome to join us as our guest at all events including youth events. For more information, please contact the parish office.

The Church is Open Daily for Prayer Sunday - Friday
Feel free to come in and pray in either the chapel, church, or on the grounds. There are beautiful outdoor settings for prayer, reading or contemplation in the Memory Garden (near the front of the church), Parish Cloister (open space in the center of the facilities), on on the green close before the shine of St. Francis (Garden at the back of the church in the playground area). Clergy are available for prayer, conversation, and confession -- just stop by the office.
Spirituali-tea & Coffee too - Even Wi-Fi!
Join us on Wednesdays at 4:00 pm for "Spirituali-tea" or free trade, organic gourmet coffee in the Parish Library. We have light conversation, listen to music and pray together, as needed. During the week stop by the Shrine of St. Caffienatius (Just Kidding), but stop by anytime for a delicious cupa gourmet free trade and organic coffee. Fr. Michael always keeps a pot on and there is plenty of space to hang out, have a cupa, and even study using wireless interet. At St. Barts, we take hospitality seriously!
